My Favorite Beauty Products

If you are a makeup lover, this post is for you! Today I want to share my favorite beauty products with you guys! Some of these have been my favorites for years, my holy grails, and others are new favorites! Some are high-end and some are drug store. For reference, I have oily combination skin. This is going to be long, so let’s get started!

Primer:

My absolute favorite primer is Estee Lauder’s Matte Perfecting Primer. I just love the way it feels on my skin and it really keeps me matte all day! This primer has recently been reformulated and is now called The Mattifier. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m hoping its just as good! Sometimes when my pores are looking horrible or I just want a more flawless look, I will use the Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer over my pores.

Foundation:

If you’ve seen any of my makeup videos, then you probably already know that my holy grail foundation is Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup. This foundation is amazing! It gives excellent coverage, medium to full, feels light on the skin and doesn’t look cakey. It lasts through heat and humidity and stays on all day. I once wore this foundation at Disneyland and it was so hot, but my makeup stayed on all day and all night! This is a must try if you haven’t tried it yet! A drugstore alternative that I really like is the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation. It has a demi-matte finish, so your face doesn’t look too dry, and it lasts for a good amount of time.

Concealer:

A long time favorite of mine is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer. It’s super affordable and has good coverage. The applicator makes it so quick and easy to use. One of my new favorites is the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer. Once I was able to get my hands on this concealer, I quickly learned what all the fuss was about. This concealer is amazing! It’s lightweight, has good coverage, easy to blend and doesn’t crease on me! Just make sure you only apply a little, because a little goes a long way with this concealer!

Setting Powder:

A fan favorite is the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. This powder just sits so beautifully on the skin. It’s finely milled and feels so soft. I use this to set my under eye concealer and my foundation. It keeps my concealer from creasing and keeps my face matte. I also like the Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder (not pictured). A drug store option that I like is Rimmel’s Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It doesn’t look cakey and keeps me matte. It’s also perfect for on the go touch-ups.

Light Weight Makeup:

Sometimes I don’t want to wear foundation but I still want some type of coverage. One of my favorites is Shiseido’s Perfect Hydrating BB Cream. I love that it has SPF 15. It’s oil free and gives me a natural glow. Another favorite is NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint. It has SPF 30, it’s oil free and has light to medium coverage. They don’t have lasting powers, so I only use these when I know I will be out for only a few hours. I definitely don’t recommend these for all day wear.

Mineral Makeup:

I absolutely love Katie B! She is such an amazing person and friend! She actually did my permanent eyebrows and I’m sad to say that she’s retired. When I met Katie, I was able to try her very own makeup line! Her Mineral Magic Foundation sits so beautifully on the skin and her Heavenly Skin BB Cream is perfect for light makeup days. They both have SPF, which I love! The foundation is buildable to full coverage and the BB cream is lightweight and feels good on the skin!

Bronzer:

I have been using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish as a bronzer for years. I use the color ‘Give Me Sun.’ It’s the perfect color for sun-kissed skin. My second favorite is Benefit’s Hoola Matte Bronzer. It’s perfect for contouring and I love the brush that it comes with (not pictured).

Blush:

Blush is my favorite type of makeup! For my birthday, my good friend Lizzy gave me this awesome blush from Sigma Beauty. It’s called Cor-De-Rosa and it quickly became my new favorite! I think this color will work all year-long. My go-to summer blush is Katie B’s Mineral Blush in the color ‘Coral.’ It’s bright and it sparkles and it’s perfect! My favorite blush for fall and winter is MAC’s Mineralize Blush in the color ‘Love Joy.’ It’s a deeper color with brown and gold tones. It warms the face so beautifully.

Eye Primer:

My first choice for eye primer would have to be Kat Von D’s Hight Voltage Eye Primer. It’s a primer and a corrector in one, which is perfect for my dark eyelids. A fan favorite, Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion also gets the job done!

Eyeliner:

I have a few favorite eyeliners. For gel, my favorite is the Colourpop Creme Gel Pot in swerve. It’s affordable, super black and dries matte. It’s also really easy to apply with a small angled brush. For liquid eyeliner I really like the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in trooper. It’s a satin black and the applicator is super easy to use. I like that the tip is firm yet flexible and has a sharp point. My favorite pencil liner is the Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in the color ‘Moonstone Brown.’ This eyeliner is perfect for the waterline and tight lining. It’s creamy and just glides on so effortlessly! And it really stays in place all day!

Mascara:

I kind of have a love hate relationship with mascara. It’s my least favorite type of makeup. When I do decide to put some mascara on, It’s usually Covergirl’s LashBlast Plumpify Mascara or Benefit’s Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara. I don’t have much to say about these mascaras, I just use them, LOL!

Eyebrow Pencil:

I have permanent eyebrows so I really don’t need to do anything to them, but I do love this NYX Micro Brow Pencil. I’ve been using this pencil for years, even before I got my permanent brows done. I use this once in a while when I want a bolder brow. It’s waxy and stays in place for a long time. It’s also super affordable!

Highlighter:

My new favorite is this Makeup Geek Highlighter in the color ‘Luster.’ It was another birthday gift from my awesome friend Lizzy! This highlighter is absolutely beautiful! On the Makeup Geek website they describe this color as rosy tan. I would say it’s rose gold! A fan favorite is Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in the color ‘Champagne Pop.’ This color is a beautiful white gold with peach undertones. It’s perfect! I’m basically obsessed with this highlighter!

Lashes:

Lashes are one of my favorite beauty products! I once got lash extensions and they were beautiful but I hated that I couldn’t take them off at the end of the night! So falsies are definitely the way to go for me. My favorite false lashes are from The House of Lashes. I love that they have lashes for every eye shape and they have so many styles to choose from. Wether you want a subtle look or a dramatic look, they have it all. They are also very lightweight and comfortable. My favorite styles are Pixie Luxe and Hollywood Glam. And OMG their lash glue is amazing! Once your lashes are on, they’re on! I also like that the lash glue has a brush applicator.

Eyeshadow:

When it comes to eyeshadow, I’m really drawn to the warmer shades, like browns and purples. I really love Colourpop eyeshadows. They are so soft, creamy and super pigmented. Two of my favorite shades, Porter and Weenie, are from the Kathleen Lights collection. My go to palette is the Manny MUA Palette by Makeup Geek. This palette is so versatile, with everyday colors and bold colors. The shades consist of matte, shimmery and foiled finishes. This is the palette that I bring with me when I travel! I just love it so much!

Lipstick:

Lately all I’ve been wearing on my lips is Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. These liquid lipsticks dry matte and feel comfortable on my lips. They last for a really long time and they’re not drying. My favorite colors (from top to bottom) are PlathBow N Arrow and Lolita. You must try them if you haven’t tried them yet!

Brushes:

My favorite makeup brushes are from Morphe. Their brushes are super affordable and really good quality. Some other brushes that I like are from E.L.F. and Sephora. A new favorite, which was also a gift from my friend Lizzy, is from Luxie Beauty, it’s crazy soft!
